Job summary

Saint Luke's East Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU. The role involves night shifts in a high-acuity unit with intensivists, NPs, and respiratory therapy support, requiring strong clinical skills and collaborative care.

The RN will use the nursing process, coordinate care for assigned patients, delegate tasks, and supervise staff to ensure excellent outcomes. In-hospital governance supports professional development and quality care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of applicable ICU/critical care experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Delegate patient care tasks and supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for a group of patients and consult with the health care team.
• Ensure optimal patient outcomes through collaboration and evidence-based practice.
• Adapt to a variety of patient conditions and challenges in the ICU.

Saint Luke's East Hospital is looking for a talented Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Intensive Care Unit.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Schedule: Full Time, 36 hours, Nights

Supportive leadership team, with Nursing Assistants to assist

Intensivists and NP’s work alongside RNs during shifts, Respiratory Therapy available at night

Extra incentives available for picking up additional shifts.

In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
