Job summary

Saint Luke’s North Hospital in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit. This full-time, 36-hour position offers night shifts and a collaborative team where Intensivists, NPs, and Respiratory Therapy staff support patient care.

The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care with empathy, lead when needed, and coordinate plans of care for assigned patients, following the nursing process and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensure in the United States.
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• An Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in an ICU setting following the nursing process.
• Coordinate care for a group of patients and communicate with health care team.
• Supervise other patient care staff where applicable.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU
Schedule: Full Time, 36 hours, Nights

• Supportive leadership team, with Nursing Assistants to assist

• Intensivists and NP’s work alongside RNs during shifts, Respiratory Therapy available at night

• Extra incentives available for picking up additional shifts

In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
