Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse - ICU for a full-time night shift (7p–7a). You will provide direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge and work closely with physicians to coordinate treatment plans.

External candidates may receive a $20,000 sign-on bonus; a 15% shift differential applies. ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications may be required within stated timelines, with opportunities for tuition assistance and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge.
• Review and document care provided and patient outcomes.
• Prioritize care based on changing assessment and patient needs.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care. Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients. Having ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
