Baptist Health in Elizabethtown, KY seeks a Registered Nurse for the 3 West Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. This part-time night shift (7p–7a) offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates and a supportive team focused on high-quality patient care.

The RN will provide direct nursing care from admission to discharge, document outcomes, follow professional standards, and apply evidence-based practices while prioritizing care based on patient assessments.

Qualifications

• ADN degree from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted RN license in Kentucky required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care. Follows the professional standards of care. Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices. Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients.

Job Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
