Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital; critical care preferred.
• CCRN Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients and develop care plans.
• Monitor patients using cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, and vital signs equipment.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products with accurate dosing.
• Manage life-support devices such as ventilators and dialysis machines.
• Educate and support patients' families and document all care activities.

Hours: 12-hour shifts - 7:00pm to 7:00am
Location: Dallas Medical Center - Farmers Branch, Texas
We are seeking a n Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse , also referred to as an ICU RN , Intensive Care Nurse or Intensive Care Unit RN. The Intensive Care RN (ICU RN) will be responsible for providing intensive care to patients with life-threatening conditions. The ICU RN will have advanced skills in critical care settings, make quick decision s , and will be compassionate to all patient s . An ICU RN monitors vital signs, blood oxygen levels, administer IV Fluids, and communicates effectively to the medical team to modify care plans accordingly.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions
• Use advanced equipment like cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters
• Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions
• Manage life-support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors
• Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided
• Document all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorously maintaining infection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus

• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
