Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a night shift nurse (3x12 hours) in Adrian, MI to cover adult patients with complex conditions. You must hold a Michigan license and be able to float within the service line. ACLS/BCLS certified with SBAR communication experience is required.

The role offers alternating weekend coverage, 1:3 staff ratios, and experience with Pyxis EPIC. Ventilated patient care and cardiac monitoring may be expected.

Qualifications

• Must have MI license in-hand.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required.
• SBAR communication required for handoffs.
• 2+ years minimum nursing experience.
• Experience in adult patient care.
• Ability to float within service line as needed.
• Care for ventilated patients may be required.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol.
• Scrubs: navy and white.

Responsibilities

• Provide night shift care for adult patients (1:3 nurse–patient ratio).
• Float within service line as needed and cover every other weekend.
• Utilize Pyxis EPIC for medication administration and charting.

Description:

• MUST HAVE MI LICENSE IN HAND

• Float within service line/scope of practice as needed
• Patient Age Group: Adults
• Staffing Ratios: 1:3 all shifts
• Medication System: Pyxis EPIC
• Required Communication: SBAR
• Patient Diagnoses: DKA; Covid; Medical diagnosis associated with acute alcohol withdrawal; NSTEMI; Respiratory distress; CHF exacerbation
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS
• Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias
• Medications Preferred: Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips
• Respiratory/Thoracic: Care of Ventilated Patient
• Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
• Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler: Will evaluate on a case-by-case basis No local travelers 50 miles or less
