Job Summary

Provides supervisory coverage for Nursing Departments and other patient care areas during assigned shifts. Assists physicians and staff, coordinates patient care, and ensures effective communication and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions

Assess patient acuity, lead patient care teams, serve as a resource for clinical and operational issues, monitor staff performance, and promote a professional and evidence-based practice environment.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Graduate from a program of professional nursing required.
• BSN required within three years of hire or transfer to the role.
• Previous two years of experience in an acute care hospital setting required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or a compact state required.
