Job summary

Astria Health seeks a Registered Nurse to join our Sunnyside Hospital team as a House Supervisor. This non-union role involves 12-hour shifts and leadership responsibilities to guide nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care in a rural hospital setting.

The candidate must have a WA state RN license, a 2-year degree, and at least three years in a supervisory role, with required certifications (BLS, ACLS within 3 months, PALS/ENPC and NRP within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse Washington State license.
• Minimum of three years in a nursing supervisory role.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
• ACLS certification completed within three months of hire.
• PALS or ENPC completion within six months of hire.
• NAP course completion within six months of hire.
• Fluency in oral and written English.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate direct patient care per the Nurse Practice Act.
• Daily shift rounds; communicate with nursing staff to ensure patient care needs are met.
• Assist nursing staff in patient care; interpret and enforce standards.
• Provide care in crisis situations as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and support unit/hospital goals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable standards.
• Advance nursing practice via evidence-based changes through committees/projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate across organizational boundaries.
• Adhere to organizational core values and standards.

Astria Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team! This position is located at our Astria Sunnyside Hospital. This is a NON Union position as a House Supervisor.

Shift: 12 hour shifts. - More information will be provided.

What you get to do every day!

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating for the delivery of direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act,
• Responsible for daily shift rounds and communicates with the nursing staff to assure that patient care needs are met,
• Assists nursing staff in the delivery of patient care, as needed, by interpreting and enforcing standards.
• Assists with the provision of patient care in crisis situations,
• Continuously is an active participant and contributor in quality improvement of the department and supports unit and hospital goals,
• Assist in assuring regulatory compliance with applicable standards.
• Further the practice of nursing within the clinical service by using current evidence to support change through committee and project work,
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries,
• Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse Washington State license.
• Minimum of three years in a nursing supervisory role.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification completed within three months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) completion within six months of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NAP) course, completion within six months of hire.
• Oral and written fluency in the English language.
