Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to provide bedside nursing care to hospice patients in a structured, compassionate environment. The role includes acting in leadership when the Hospice manager is unavailable and collaborating with the care team to deliver high-quality comfort-focused care.

The position requires MI RN licensure, a willingness to adapt care plans to evolving patient needs, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides nursing care to hospice patients in accordance with the hospice concept of care. Assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Hospice manager. Works under the supervision of the Hospice manager. Over IRS Mileage Reimbursement rate.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, and current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Hospice certification preferred.
• A working knowledge of current pain and symptom management, and experience appropriate to the needs of hospice patients and their families is preferred.
• Requires interpersonal skills to present a positive image of Hospice to those whom are referred to the program.
• Requires the ability to be flexible in adapting policies and procedures to meet the needs presented by Hospice patients and families.
