Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a dedicated Hospice Nurse to provide compassionate care under the hospice concept of care. You may assume managerial responsibilities when the Hospice manager is unavailable, and you will work under supervision of the Hospice manager.

Requires an accredited nursing program, Michigan RN licensure, and a focus on pain and symptom management for hospice patients and families. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing and Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Hospice certification preferred.
• Experience with pain and symptom management for hospice patients and their families preferred.
• Requires interpersonal skills to present a positive image of Hospice to those referred to the program.
• Requires the ability to be flexible in adapting policies and procedures to meet the needs of Hospice patients and families.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
