Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Hospice certification preferred.
• Knowledge of current pain and symptom management for hospice patients and families preferred.
• Requires interpersonal skills to present a positive image of Hospice to referrals.
• Requires the ability to be flexible in adapting policies and procedures for Hospice patients and families.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to hospice patients in accordance with the hospice concept of care.
• Assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Hospice manager.
• Works under the supervision of the Hospice manager.
• Mileage reimbursement is in line with IRS rate.

General Summary
