Sentara Hospice Services in South Boston, VA is seeking a Direct Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes or hospice settings, delivering comfort, dignity, and compassionate end-of-life support.

This full-time role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, VA RN license, BLS within 90 days, and at least 1 year of nursing experience (home care or hospice preferred). Evening shift from 4PM to 12AM with travel up to 50 miles.

The Direct Care Registered Nurse - Home Health and Hospice Provides high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes or hospice settings, ensuring comfort, dignity, and emotional support during end-of-life care.

Anticipated Status/Shift

Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Evening Shift (4PM-12AM)

Sentara Hospice Services - South Boston, VA (travel can include up to a 50-mile radius for position)

Requirements

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)

Certification/Licensure

Valid RN License in state of practice (VA) (Required)

BLS

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $87,214.40 - $126,900.80 annually.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
