Job summary

Franciscan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to work across multiple physician offices, providing professional nursing care, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and patient education, following established standards. The RN float will coordinate patient care and serve as a liaison among patients, staff, and providers.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday days with benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in the state or listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and plan care; provide education and care evaluation for patients.
• Coordinate patient care and act as liaison between patients, staff and providers.
• Record and maintain complete and accurate patient and physician communications per documentation standards.
• Submit new prescriptions and refills electronically/fax per physician orders.

• Record and maintain complete and accurate records of patient and physician communications regarding medical care according to standard medical record documentation requirements
• Submit electronically/fax new prescriptions and refill prescriptions according to Physician orders.
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff regarding medical information, patient assessment, and nursing management of illness
• Acquire pre-certs/prior authorizations for patient needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s Degree -Required
• Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred
• Valid RN license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire - Required
• 2 years Nursing/Patient Care - Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
