Job summary

Franciscan Health West Lafayette Medical Center in West Lafayette, IN is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care. Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, and education in collaboration with physicians and staff.

The RN will float across multiple physician offices, maintain accurate records, and support medication management while following established standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid RN license to practice in Indiana.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, care planning, medical care evaluation, and education by following established standards and practices.
• Float to support providers and staff, coordinating patient care and acting as liaison between patients, staff, and providers.
• Record and maintain complete and accurate records of patient and physician communications.
• Submit electronically/fax new prescriptions and refill prescriptions according to Physician orders.
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff regarding medical information, patient assessment, and nursing management of illness.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s Degree -Required
• Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred
• Valid RN license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire - Required
• 2 years Nursing/Patient Care - Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
