Job summary

West Lafayette Medical Center, part of Franciscan Alliance, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple physician offices in West Lafayette, IN. The RN will assess patients, plan and evaluate care, educate patients, and coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes maintaining accurate records, assisting with medication management, supporting providers, and navigating pre-certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Valid RN license to practice in Indiana upon hire is required.
• 2 years Nursing/Patient Care is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care including assessment, treatment, and care planning.
• Coordinate patient care and educate patients per established standards.
• Record and maintain complete and accurate patient-physician communications and documentation.
• Submit electronically/fax prescriptions per physician orders and manage medication information.
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff on medical information, patient assessment, and nursing management of illness.
• Acquire pre-certifications/prior authorizations for patient needs.

The Registered Nurse (RN) works in multiple physician offices to provide professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, care planning, medical care evaluation, and education by following established standards and practices. The RN float assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care and functions as a liaison between patients, staff, and providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s Degree -Required
• Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred
• Valid RN license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire - Required
• 2 years Nursing/Patient Care - Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
