Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Nursing.
• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license.
• BLS-CPR Certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate direct patient care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in planning and organizing patient care from admit to discharge.
• Performs initial assessments and document appropriately.
• Educates patients and families, and documents accordingly.
• Demonstrates competency in administering medications and in use of unit equipment.
