Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care as part of the Patient Care Team. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, delivering hands-on care and making sound clinical decisions for each patient.

As a member of the team, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, educate patients and families, and document care as per unit policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Nursing.
• Current Louisiana RN license or compact state license.
• BLS-CPR Certified.
• Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; communicate effectively one-to-one.
• Emotional stability, resilience and adaptability to change.

Responsibilities

• Possesses competency in use of technology and computers.
• Demonstrates competency in administering medication.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in planning and organizing patient care from admit to discharge.
• Organizes patient care and unit activities with appropriate delegation.
• Follows evidence-based policies and procedures to guide nursing practice.
