Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Patient Care Team in Lake Charles, LA. The RN will perform hands‑on direct patient care, assess and plan using the nursing process, and make sound clinical decisions to deliver comprehensive care to each patient.

The role supports collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, adherence to policies, and participation in unit improvement initiatives.

Qualificações

• Proficient use of technology and computers.
• Ability to administer medications accurately and safely.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver patient care.
• Demonstrates strong clinical decision making throughout patient care continuum.

Responsabilidades

• Possesses competency in use of technology and computers.
• Demonstrates competency in the use of Smart Pumps.
• Demonstrates competency in administering medication.
• Has knowledge of and utilizes unit specific equipment appropriately.
• Organizes patient care and general unit activities with delegation where appropriate.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in planning and organizing patient care from admit to discharge.
• Participates in multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Follows evidence‑based policies and procedures to guide nursing practice.
• Engages in rounding, bedside reporting, and Service Excellence practices.
• Responds to cultural variables in patient interactions.
• Evaluates ethical challenges impacting care and professional role.
• Uses nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Performs initial assessments and reassessments and documents appropriately.
• Interprets and implements physician orders.
• Performs procedures routinely and educates patients and families.
• Documents accurately and participates in Unit PI plan.
