Job summary

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking an RN to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols. The role includes coordinating multiple disciplines to ensure well‑coordinated patient care and executing physician and nursing orders.

Qualified candidates will hold a Connecticut RN license, with BSN preferred, and demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking. Shift includes day/night rotation with every other weekend and holiday support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Connecticut RN license required.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Must be able to commute to Bridgeport, CT.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient condition.
• Acts as primary coordinator of care across disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Carries out physician/nursing orders and discharge planning needs.
• Assess patients to provide individualized care considering cultural and age-related needs.
• Delegate tasks to nursing staff to maximize care efficiency.
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds and provide input to patient outcomes.
