Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver and supervise patient care in the inpatient unit. Under the direction of nursing leadership, you will plan and coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient/family education for post-hospital needs.

ACLS and BLS certifications are required, with ACLS mandatory for Charge Nurses. A growth-focused environment with internal promotion opportunities awaits within PAM Health.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state where the hospital resides; compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the RN delivers, directs and supervises care to patients admitted to the unit.
• Plans, coordinates, and provides patient care including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Educates patients and families for post-hospitalization and facilitates access to community resources.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties; ACLS certification required for this role.
