Job summary

PAM Health is seeking aRegistered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct and supervise patient care on the hospital unit. You will coordinate interdisciplinary care, plan discharges, and educate patients and families for post-hospital needs.

Required ACLS and BLS certifications with a current RN license in the appropriate state. Inpatient med-surg experience is preferred; charge nurse duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Holds a current licensure as an RN in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Charge Nurses must have ACLS.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
• May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
