Backus Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a registered nurse for a 36-hour day shift on unit A2, with every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotations. You will provide holistic patient care in a diverse medical-surgical and oncology-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• One year RN experience.
• Current unrestricted State of CT Registered Nurse license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Oncology Nurse (ONC) certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence through utilization of the nursing process and development of a synergistic nurse-patient relationship.
• Assesses and identifies patient problems/needs, establishes a plan of care, implements and evaluates care provided to patients.
