Job summary

Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care - Georgetown in Kentucky is hiring an ED Registered Nurse to support the Emergency Department. The role offers part-time shifts (24 hours per week) across day and night blocks, plus PRN options, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, provide direct care, and lead the delivery of nursing services while upholding a healing environment and strong patient relations.

Qualifications

• One year of ED nursing experience.
• Current Kentucky RN licensure or work permit.
• Bachelor’s or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• BLS certification required; obtain within 30 days if not certified.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Shifts & Hours:

• First Shift - part-time 24hrs (7a-7p)

• Third Shift – part-time 24hrs (7p-7a)

• PRN-(1st, 2nd & 3rd)

Description ED-RN:

• Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

• Assessment of patients’ needs.

• Development of patient care plans.

• Provision of direct care.

• Management of patient care delivery.

• Demonstrate leadership skills.

• Support for quality care.

• Customer relations and healing environment.

Requirements ED-RN:

• One year of experience.

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.

• Bachelor’s or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.

• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.

• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
