Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Registered Nurse for General Adult care in Towson, MD. The role is on-site, full-time, with an hourly wage range. Responsibilities include psychiatric nursing assessments, treatment administration, and family support, within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires MD RN licensure (or compact state) and at least some psychiatric nursing experience. Benefits include orientation, tuition reimbursement, health plans, retirement match, generous PTO, and EAP.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
• Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
• Document and report patient progress to treatment team.

Description

Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 7AM to 7PM with rotating weekends. Type: In Person.

As a Registered Nurse/RN you will:

• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience as a registered nurse.
