Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time 32-hour schedule in Fort Lauderdale. The RN will work 3 p.m.–11 p.m. on Sundays, Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, within the Mental Health department.

Responsibilities include patient care using nursing processes, medication administration, and documentation, under Charge Nurse supervision. Valid RN license and CPR certification required; clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of clinic experience.
• Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
• CPR certification required.

• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs with Charge Nurse and staff.
• Administer medications, obtain diagnostics, and assist with minor procedures as needed.
• Count controlled substances and perform clinical/technical tasks per policies.
• Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting and participate in mandatory meetings/training.
• Communicate information to nursing staff, physicians, and supervisors as needed.

How You Make a Difference

As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. This role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary.
• Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
• Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
• Communicate information to nursing staff, physicians, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience

• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of clinic experience.

Licenses/Certifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
