Job summary

The State of Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver compassionate care to our state's heroes. Hourly pay ranges from $18.35–$18.69 on day shifts and $20.35–$20.69 on evenings and nights, with additional weekend differential.

You will collaborate with a dedicated team, follow individualized care plans, document observations for all Veterans, assist with grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility, and accurately record vitals.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide Veteran care and support per the individualized care plan.
• Communicate and document veterans' needs, preferences, and concerns to nursing staff.
• Assist with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, and related care per care plan.
• Accurately perform and document vitals, heights, and weights.
• Walk, stand, stoop, bend, and lift to provide quality care.
• Work overtime as needed.

Hourly Pay

• $18.35 - $18.69 day shift
• $20.35 - $20.69 evening and night shift
• Additional weekend shift differential available

Examples of Work

• Provide excellent Veteran care and support according to the individualized care plan.
• Communicate and document specific information to nursing staff regarding information and observations of the Veterans’ needs, preferences and/or complaints voiced by Veteran/family.
• Attend to individual needs of Veterans which may include but is not limited to assistance with grooming, bathing/showering, oral hygiene, delivery and set up of food trays, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, repositioning, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, skin care, or other needs in keeping with the individual’s care requirements.
• Accurately perform and document vitals, heights, and weights.
• Walk and stand extensively as well as stoop, bend, and lift to provide quality care to Veterans.
• Work overtime as needed.
