Job summary

MGRMC in Safford, AZ seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for emergency and returning outpatient care. You will support patient assessment, triage, and ADLs in a fast-paced ED setting.

Requires AZ RN license, CPR, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within specified timelines; prior ED/ICU experience preferred; strong communication and computer skills essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proof of highest level of education completed, at least high school or equivalent.
• Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
• Current Arizona Registered Nurse License.
• Maintains CPR Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) or approved program.
• Maintains ACLS Certification within 1 month of hire.
• Maintains PALS Certification within 2 months of hire.
• Maintains TNCC Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of current nursing trends.
• Ability to identify significant changes in patient condition.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
• Professional appearance.
• Physical ability to perform essential functions (lift up to 50 lbs).
• English language proficiency.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Emergency Nurse Manager provides quality emergency and returning outpatient care.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent.
• Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
• Current Arizona Registered Nurse License.
• Maintains current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or other approved educational programs.
• Maintains current ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or other approved educational programs within one (1) month of hire.
• Maintains current PALS Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or other approved educational programs within two (2) months of hire.
• Maintains current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification from the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) or similarly approved educational certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Demonstrates knowledge of current trends in nursing.
• Ability to identify significant changes in patient condition.
• Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
• An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
• Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
• Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit.
• Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
