Job summary

Dallas Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Room RN to provide urgent care in a fast-paced ED. Per Diem, 12-hour night shifts at Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch, TX. You will triage, assess, administer medications, and support stabilization in critical situations.

Required are an active RN license, BLS; ACLS and PALS/ENPC preferred with 30-day completion windows. BSN is preferred; you must thrive under pressure and educate patients in a high-stress team setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification required, ACLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS and/or ENPC certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival and prioritize care using triage protocols.
• Provide direct care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and manage pain.
• Assist with stabilization and life-saving interventions as needed (ACLS, PALS, trauma).
• Remain calm and focused in high-stress, multi-patient scenarios.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharges.

Hours : 12hr shifts
Location: Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch, TX
We are seeking an Emergency Room RN, also referred to as an Emergency Department RN or Emergency Services RN . The ER RN provides rapid and skilled care to patients who arrive at the hospital seeking emergency medical attention. The ER Nurses are skilled professionals who play a critical role in delivering emergent and urgent care to patients in the emergency department.

Responsibilities

• A ssess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly, follow standardized triage protocols to quickly identify patients who require immediate attention due to life‑threatening conditions


• P rovide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries which may involve administering medications, performing procedures such as wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain


• I n cases of severe illness or trauma, you may assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life‑saving interventions, this can include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care


• M anage high‑stress and rapidly changing situations effectively. remain calm, focused, and decisive while providing care to multiple patients simultaneously during busy shifts or mass casualty events


• E ducate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal‑breakers . You must have:

• Current and valid state RN License.


• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.


• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current


• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus

• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.


• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
