Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking an Emergency Room RN to join our night-shift team. The ER RN provides rapid and skilled emergency care to patients, working 12-hour nights from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

The role requires a valid RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC certifications, and experience in acute care. BSN preferred and trauma/ED experience highly regarded.

Qualifikationen

• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days upon hire and maintain.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly, following standardized triage protocols.
• Provide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries including medications, wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and pain management.
• In severe cases, assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions such as ACLS, PALS, and trauma care.
• Manage high-stress and rapidly changing situations, remaining calm and decisive while caring for multiple patients.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions.

We are seeking an Emergency Room RN, also referred to as an Emergency Department RN or Emergency Services RN. The ER RN provides rapid and skilled care to patients who arrive at the hospital seeking emergency medical attention. The ER Nurses are skilled professionals who play a critical role in delivering emergent and urgent care to patients in the emergency department.

Responsibilities

• A ssess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly, follow standardized triage protocols to quickly identify patients who require immediate attention due to life-threatening conditions
• P rovide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries which may involve administering medications, performing procedures such as wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain
• I n cases of severe illness or trauma, you may assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions, this can include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care
• M anage high-stress and rapidly changing situations effectively. remain calm, focused, and decisive while providing care to multiple patients simultaneously during busy shifts or mass casualty events
• E ducate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility May Require Items Listed Below)

• In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current.
• EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.
