Job summary

Northwest Hospital's Observation unit in Baltimore County seeks an experienced RN to deliver direct clinical care on a 20-bed unit focused on telemetry, stroke and ACLS. Under the unit manager, you will assess, plan and implement age-appropriate nursing care per shift and supervise staff.

You must have at least one year of acute care experience, a Maryland RN license, BLS, and a Nursing Degree. The role offers benefits including health, retirement and tuition reimbursement, with a sign-on bonus

Job description

The Observation unit at Northwest Hospital is a 20-bed unit that cares for a diverse mix of diagnoses. Most patients stay on this unit for less than 24 hours. Nurses on this unit specialize in telemetry, stroke and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).

Summary

Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct age-appropriate clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Experience

• At least one year of Acute Care experience

Licensures & Certifications

• Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
• Basic Life Support

Pay Range: $37.15 to $58.33 Based On Experience
