Job summary

Community Hospital South is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room to join a dedicated and compassionate team. The ER RN will provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and collaborate with patients, families, and health-care staff to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.

The role requires Oklahoma RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within 120 days, and 1 year of Med-Surg/ER/ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within 120 days.
• Minimum of one year experience in Med-Surg, Emergency, or ICU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients in the ER according to policy and procedure and care standards.
• Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications.
• Coordinates patient care with multidisciplinary team.
• Acts to protect and advance patient’s best interest.
• Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description as well as continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.

Our team at Community Hospital South is looking for a RN to help work as needed in the emergency room. ER nurses provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Hospital. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the ER RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and coordinates treatment plans. ER nurses always works as a team member within the entire facility and will help performs other duties as assigned.
