Job summary

Community Hospital South is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. Work as needed in the ER, providing direct nursing care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ER RN will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate treatment, supporting compassionate CARES values. Current Oklahoma RN licensure is required; 1 year Med-Surg/ER/ICU preferred; BLS within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within 120 days.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
• Minimum of one year experience in Med-Surg, Emergency, or ICU preferred.
• BLS Healthcare required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS required within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the ER according to hospital policy and care standards.
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary team and family.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with the health care team.
• Work as a team member within the facility and perform duties as assigned.

Our team at Community Hospital South is looking for a RN to help work as needed in the emergency room. ER nurses provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Hospital. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the ER RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and coordinates treatment plans. ER nurses always works as a team member within the entire facility and will help performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Provides care to patients in the emergency room according to policy and procedure and care standards.
  • Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications.
  • Coordinates patient care with multidisciplinary team.
  • Acts to protect and advance patient’s best interest.
  • Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description as well as continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.

Licensures & Experience
