Job summary

Community Hospital South is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to work in the Emergency Room. The ER RN will assess and treat patients in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with the care team and families to ensure quality care in line with hospital policies.

Requirements include Oklahoma RN licensure, 1 year ER/Med-Surg/ICU experience, and BLS within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within 120 days. This PRN role offers flexibility to support patient care needs across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of Oklahoma.
• Minimum of one year experience in Med-Surg, Emergency, or ICU preferred.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Our team at Community Hospital South is looking for a RN to help work as needed in the emergency room. ER nurses provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Hospital. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the ER RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and coordinates treatment plans. ER nurses always works as a team member within the entire facility and will help performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Provides care to patients in the emergency room according to policy and procedure and care standards.


• Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications.


• Coordinates patient care with multidisciplinary team.


• Acts to protect and advance patient’s best interest.


• Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description as well as continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.

Licensures & Experience

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
