Job summary

Mercy St. Louis is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This role supports two levels of shifts, including two 8-hour and two 12-hour options, in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting with a focus on high‑acuity patient care.

You will work with ED physicians, APPs and a multidisciplinary team to deliver rapid, evidence‑based interventions and patient stabilization.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Must obtain/maintain a current RN license (state or compact).
• BLS (AHA) required — or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a diverse patient population in the ED, including trauma, stroke, cardiac and critical care cases.
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, APs and multidisciplinary teams to stabilize patients and coordinate care.
• Deliver timely, life‑saving interventions and exercise clinical judgment in fast-paced situations.

Working alongside emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams, ED nurses play a vital role in rapid decision‑making, patient stabilization, and care coordination across the continuum.

Education

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program

Certifications
