Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Kentucky. This part-time role runs 7p–7a with a 15% shift differential and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

The RN will provide direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge, document care and outcomes, and adhere to professional standards of care. ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC and crisis prevention training are required within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• ADN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• ENPC required within three years of hire.
• NIHSS required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC required within two years of hire.
• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Document care provided and patient outcomes; evaluate care and ensure standards of care are followed.

• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within two years of hire.
• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.
