Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time night shift role involves assessing patients, planning care, and delivering direct nursing care in a fast-paced ED.

The position requires Kentucky RN licensure, BSN or ADN with BSN enrollment, BLS certification, and relevant advanced certifications as dictated by the department. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified individuals.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Kentucky.
• BSN or ASN nursing degree from an accredited college/university.
• ADN holders must enroll in BSN within 12 months and complete within 5 years.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire if not already certified.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP plus dysrhythmia class as departmental prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and develop care plans.
• Provide direct patient care on an ongoing basis.
• Manage delivery of patient care and supervise staff as needed.
• Demonstrate leadership and support quality care.
• Maintain a healing environment and positive patient relations.

Registered Nurse-ED Full-Time I Third Shift Emergency Dept. I Lexington, KY $15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals

An Emergency department (ED) that provides 24-hour emergency care to patients who need urgent medical attention for severe injuries or illness.

Description RN-ED:

• Assessment of patients' needs.
• Development of patient care plan/s
• Provision of direct care.
• Management of patient care delivery.

• Customer relations and healing environment.

Requirements RN-ED:

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
