Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department in Wilmington, Delaware. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts and includes every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver geriatric-focused emergency care in a Level III unit.

Qualifications

• ASN or higher nursing degree from an accredited school
• Current Delaware RN licensure
• ER and/or acute care experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and document accordingly on ER nursing tools.
• Identify patient needs based on objective data and follow with appropriate documentation.
• Implement appropriate nursing actions for each patient that needs identification.
• Make decisions reflecting knowledge and sound judgment.
• Discuss care with patient and/or family and document outcomes.
• Utilize multidisciplinary approach to deliver patient care.

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the team in our Emergency Department!

Employment Type

Part time, 24hrs/wk Day-Shift Shift / Every third weekend and rotating holidays

12 Hour Day Shift

Serving Wilmington community and Northern New Castle County, the Emergency Department at Saint Francis Hospital is a Level III Trauma, 27-bed unit. We care for various types of patients and are the first and only Geriatric certified Emergency Department in Delaware. Our ER management team values and promotes a work life balance.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and documents accordingly on Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation.
• Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.
• Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment.
• Discusses with and includes patient an/or family significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same.
• Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

• ASN required, BSN preferred, from an accredited school of nursing
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware
• Previous ER and/or Acute Care experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required; must obtain PALS within 6 months of employment
