Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Florida on a full-time basis. The RN will assess pain, perform procedures and document care in the medical record while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of Acute Care ER RN experience and will obtain ACLS, BCLS, and PALS within 30 days of starting. Strong education skills and proactive communication with patients and families are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Acute Care ER RN experience required.
• ACLS/BCLS/PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN credential required.
• Associate Degree required for position.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and manage pain effectively.
• Document care administration in the patient chart promptly and thoroughly.
• Respond to patient requests with timely, exceptional care and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications and follow-up plans.
• Explain non-medicinal follow-up measures and prepare patients for self-management.

Registered Nurse candidates for the Emergency Department opportunity will have the following job responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.

Job Qualifications
