Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Florida. This full-time role delivers high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include assessing pain, performing procedures, documenting care, and educating patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-management. You will respond promptly to requests, translate medical information clearly, and support patients and caregivers throughout the care journey.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida required or equivalent.
• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months.
• TNCC or equivalent within 1 year.

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and documents care in the medical record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs to deliver exceptional care.
• Educates patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatments, medications, side effects, and follow-up.
• Explains non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet, exercise, and self-management strategies.

Job Responsibilities

Registered Nurse candidates for the Emergency Department will have the following job responsibilities:

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.


• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.


• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.


• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.


• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.

Job Qualifications

Registered Nurse candidates for the Emergency Department must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date


• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
