Job summary

Progeny HR Solutions LLC seeks Registered Nurse - Emergency Room for full-time night shifts in Florida. The RN will assess pain, perform procedures, document care, educate patients and families, and prepare for self-management after discharge.

Minimum 1 year ER RN experience required; ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC within specified timelines; ADN/BSN degree and active RN license required. Johns Hopkins-style care environment preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care ER RN experience
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• RN license in good standing
• Valid nursing degree (ADN/BSN)

Registered Nurse candidates for the Emergency Department will have the following job responsibilities:

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes.
• Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
