Job summary

Ascension is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Emergency Department in Broken Arrow, OK. This PRN night-shift role requires current Oklahoma RN licensure and the ability to deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced setting.

You will lead nursing care, develop and monitor care plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. ACLS/BLS are required or pursued per policy; PALS is preferred. Diploma in Nursing is required to hire.

Qualifications

• RN license from Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS or BLS within specified timeframe required.
• PALS preferred.

• Lead Patient Care: Deliver holistic, high-quality nursing care that aligns with the highest clinical standards and organizational protocols.
• Drive Care Planning: Initiate, implement, and continuously monitor personalized patient care plans, ensuring they are effective and adapt to changing needs.
• Coordinate the Team: Serve as the central communication link for all disciplinesâfrom physicians to specialistsâto ensure a unified and seamless care journey for every patient.
• Practice Vigilant Monitoring: Accurately observe, record, and promptly communicate changes in patient conditions, acting quickly and decisively on clinical insights.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
