Job summary

Springfield Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care within the Department of Nursing. The role emphasizes using the Nursing Process, documentation, and delegation to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold an ADN or BSN, maintain an active Vermont RN license (or compact state), and demonstrate strong communication skills. A baseline of six months' experience plus BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications is desired; advanced certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Vermont RN license in good standing or compact state RN license.
• Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing care knowledge across lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency in technology used in care delivery.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• TNCC.
• Basic dysrhythmia.
• De-escalation training (required after hire).
• ESI Course within one year of hire.
• CEN (preferred).
• ENPC (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Use the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and document care, including delegation.
• Ensure practice meets applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing health care.
