Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The role emphasizes evidence-based nursing, strong communication with patients and care teams, and accurate medication administration in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates will have an active New Jersey nursing license, BLS/CPR, and 1+ year of acute care experience, with preferred wound care, billing/coding and outpatient exposure.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• One year of acute care nursing experience is required.
• Wound care experience preferred.
• Billing/coding experience preferred.
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• HBO certification within 6 months of hire.
• The candidate must learn quickly, be team-focused and committed to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to evidence-based policies and standards of care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and health care team about status and plan of care.
• Administer medications with safety and accuracy using current documentation systems.
• Document patient assessments and plan-of-care in real time at the point of care.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Support safe discharge planning and continuum of care.
• Ensure up-to-date NJ nursing license is maintained; comply with certification requirements.
