Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a registered nurse to deliver patient care across departments, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team. You will administer medications, perform assessments, and document care according to policy.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure is required; ADN acceptable, BSN preferred. CPR/BLS certification within 90 days is expected, with opportunities for advancement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in state of practice; CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops, initiates and executes a patient plan of care according to individual needs, as prescribed by Physician and/or clinic policy including patient and family instruction.
• Provides education to the appropriate level of understanding for patients and families.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Utilizes clinical guidance to other units in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
