Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Other certification(s) per unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to care for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies, procedures, and state laws.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and unit policy.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
• Provides guidance to other units in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Escalates concerns regarding patient safety and experience as needed.
