Job summary

The role uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while maintaining thorough EHR documentation and adherence to safety standards. BSN preferred and BLS required, with potential unit float as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a board-approved nursing education program.
• Current RN license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• BLS certification required; other certifications may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance, professional standards, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, updates care plans, and collaborates with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ethical practice.
• May administer medications and treatments per clinical protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed within the service area.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and growth/development awareness across patient populations.
