HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood seeks an RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to optimize patient movement through the Emergency Department with clinical leadership and coordination. You will align staffing, patient placement, and resources to ensure organized, safe, and efficient care.
In this role you will also partner with physicians and care teams, provide escalation support, and drive safety and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes in a high-demand environment.

As the RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput, you will play a key role in ensuring patients move through the Emergency Department with clarity, clinical support, and thoughtful coordination. By aligning staffing, patient placement, and clinical resources, you’ll help teams deliver care that is organized, safe, and patient-centered. And in moments of urgency and complexity, your leadership will keep caregivers connected, supported, and focused on their mission to care for and improve human life.
Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions
Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes
Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers
Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed
Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
