Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED) on the third shift. This full-time role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified individuals and involves 24-hour ED coverage with a focus on compassionate, high-quality patient care.

The RN will assess, plan, and deliver direct care while leading care delivery and maintaining a healing environment. Kentucky licensure and BLS are required, with ACLS/PALS/NRP training as needed.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Associate degree holders with <10 years of experience must enroll in a bachelor's program within 12 months and complete it within 5 years.
• BLS certification is required; if not held, must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop a comprehensive care plan.
• Provide direct patient care and monitor patient progress.
• Manage delivery of patient care and coordinate with the healthcare team.

An Emergency department (ED) that provides 24-hour emergency care to patients who need urgent medical attention for severe injuries or illness.

Description RN-ED

• Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.
• Assessment of patients' needs.

Requirements RN-ED

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
