Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a PRN third shift. Join a 24-hour ED that delivers urgent care to patients with severe injuries or illnesses, and provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing practice.

You will assess needs, develop care plans, deliver direct care, and contribute to safe, high-quality outcomes while leading and supporting the care team.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• ADN holders with <10 years experience must enroll in a BSN within 12 months and finish within 5 years.
• BLS certification required; must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Emergency Dept. I Lexington, KY

An Emergency department (ED) that provides 24-hour emergency care to patients who need urgent medical attention for severe injuries or illness.

Description RN-ED

• Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.
• Assessment of patients' needs.
• Development of patient care plan/s
• Provision of direct care.
• Management of patient care delivery.
• Demonstrate of leadership skills.
• Support for quality care.
• Customer relations and healing environment.

Requirements RN-ED

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
