Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a Director Inpatient Hospice Center, Registered Nurse in Cumming, GA. This full-time leadership role oversees clinical operations and staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, rapid response to clinical needs, and strict adherence to regulatory and professional standards across the center.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (GA).
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum three years’ hospice, home health, general medical surgical, oncology or patient population specific nursing.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all direct patient/family care team members, including nurses, social workers, hospice aides and counselors.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of direct patient/family care team members.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing education of staff and volunteers.
• Ensure initial assessments and required reassessments are conducted by qualified staff within time frames.
• Coordinate development and review of the interdisciplinary plan of care for each patient/family.
• Ensure 24-hour availability of nursing and psychosocial services and coordinate on-call assignments.
• Conduct interdisciplinary team meetings and maintain documentation.

Be the Best IPC Director, Registered Nurse You Can Be

If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:

• Registered Nurse license in state(s) practicing. Certified Hospice Nurse is preferred.
• Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Minimum three years’ experience in hospice, home health, general medical surgical, oncology or patient population specific (i.e.: geriatrics, pediatric, etc.) nursing.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all direct patient/family care team members, including nurses, social workers, hospice aides and counselors.
• Ensure that all patient/family services comply with federal, state(s) and local regulatory requirements and with accepted professional standards.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of all direct patient/family care team members.
